Kala Jadu
It was a novel by M.A Rahat called Kala Jadu. First I read it on Mars in Jang magazine, then prolly bought the book much later. A boy starts his journey by visiting a chakla or redlight parlour in Pakistan. He comes back and finds that his parents aren't what he thought they were or simply they can't act or even if they can they are not that class.
He loses everything to talk about it with his friends. Ends up places unknown to mankind. Sometimes hes traveling in the bus wakes up in the train or sometimes lying in the rooms painted black and wakes up elsewhere. Makes me wonder if we created NASR like 50 years ago.
End of the day, he gets so much expertise in the brain science of projecting memories and time & space travel. That the Indo-Pak gets liberated.
The bottom line is he never wanted to drink the glass of water mixed with swines blood since he was a small child. And that became the only reason for the liberation.
The best part is my grandfather isn't mentioned anywhere. But that's what "A" is all about and was. You don't become A following and talking like zombies.
